Vail Snow Daze is the premier Vail music festival.Celebrating its 50th birthday in
2012, this week long music fest attracts popular and talented acts every
year.Kicking off on December 10th
and ending on December 16th in 2012, this year’s fest is headlined
by Wilco, Michael Franti & Spearhead, and the Shins.Snow Daze is the perfect early Christmas gift
for even the most casual of music festival fans.
Vail Oktoberfest can’t be contained in just one weekend. Every September, festivities start off with a weekend in Lionshead, and move on to Vail Village.Bavarian music and dancing, bratwurst, and yodeling give way to fan favorites Beck’s Keg Bowling and Oktoberfest Fun Run.
The Vail International Dance Festival serves as great entertainment when the snow isn’t falling.The summer dance festival included performances by the New York City Ballet MOVES and Martha Graham Dance Company in 2012.
No matter the time of year, visitors can find a variety of interesting fests in Vail.The four-day Vail International Film Festival proves to be quite the season finale in early April.
